Partners in Housing Transition

Partners in Housing Transition provides free beds, furniture, and household items to families that now have housing after a period of homelessness.  Families are referred to Partners by 16 social service agencies in Kalamazoo County. 

Partners accepts donated furniture from businesses and families in the greater Kalamazoo area. Donations are sorted, organized, and displayed in a climate-controlled basement provided in-kind by St Luke’s Episcopal Church.

Families referred to Partners visit the basement to select furniture and household items they need for their homes and families.  (chairs, couches, sheets, towels, place settings, lamps, cookware etc).  

Beds and bedframes are provided for family members that do not have a bed.  Partners believes sleep in a bed is a critical and essential first step in overcoming any obstacle. 

Partners provides free delivery to clients’ homes.
