Who We Are
Mission: To empower youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina through education, mentorship, and leadership development, fostering healing and growth for a brighter future.
The Jericho Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Kalamazoo that focuses on empowering and supporting youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly those affected by war and genocide. The foundation works to break the cycle of poverty and trauma by providing educational opportunities, mentorship, and leadership development. By investing in the personal and professional growth of young people, the Jericho Foundation aims to foster a new generation of leaders who can contribute to the healing and development of their communities.
What We Do
The Jericho Foundation aims to provide marginalized youth in BiH with the necessary tools to succeed by awarding scholarships for college education. Our work covers tuition, living expenses, tutoring, and books while removing any additional student barriers. Additionally, the foundation offers opportunities such as our U.S. Learn Experience job shadow program, leadership seminars, and personal development programs, which increase students’ chances of success and help them secure employment in their home country and eventually lead to the next generation of leaders in BiH.
