As the Eastside of Kalamazoo’s Neighborhood Association, KENA is highly active in community and neighborhood development work; from home repair to neighborhood lighting enhancements, and much more. We are here to offset barriers to economic opportunity through leading the community in action.

KENA’s work aims to change people’s lives, embody the spirit of hope, and improve Kalamazoo through our dedication to social services and community development. KENA continues to work with the community, public officials, private sector representatives, and especially residents who live on limited incomes, in assessing local needs and combating the causes and conditions of poverty in Kalamazoo County, so that we can continue planning and delivering programs addressing those causes, as partners in the War on Poverty. KENA is thrilled to offer a vast array of programs and services to individuals through outreach, energy assistance, food support, a diaper pantry, daycare assistance, vehicle repair; with various regional partnerships in service delivery.
