Big Brothers Big Sisters

Mission:  Create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

BIG DUO – Would you like to volunteer with a family member, friend or colleague from work? Discuss the possibility of mentoring a child together.

As a Big Duo, you will both be matched with the same Little.  You can meet with your Little together or if personal/work conflicts arise, meet with your Little separately.

 Big Duo’s can be matched with a Little in our Community Based program. Together, you can explore new people, places and things in the community. Your investment: 2 hours 2X per month for 1 year.

 Big Duo’s might also consider being matched with a Little in our Site-Based program. You and your partner will meet with your Little at a local school or community organization during the school day (or at an after-school program). Your investment: 30-60 min. 2X-4X per month for 1 school year.

BIG FAMILY –  Would you like to volunteer with your family members? Discuss with your family, the possibility of mentoring a child together.

You and your family members will be matched with the same Little in our Community Based program. Together, you can all explore new people, places and things in the community.  Your investment: 2 hours 2X per month for 1 year. Flexible days/times and BBBS will provide you with potential free activities to do together.

SPORTS BUDDIES – Do you enjoy participating in sports and/or attending sports events? Meet with your Little (who also enjoys sports) 2X per month for 3-4 hours at a pre-scheduled sports event coordinated by Big Brothers Big Sisters. Your investment: 1X per month, you and your Little will participate in a sports activity with other matches; and 1X per month, you and your Little will attend a sports event in the community with other matches; for 6 months.

SITE-BASED BIG –  Do you prefer volunteering at a consistent location?  Consider being matched with a Little at their school or at a local community organization during the school day (or at an after-school program). Your investment:  30-60 minutes 2X-4X per month for 1 school year.

*All Matches are supported by a Mentoring Relationship Specialist, who will introduce you to your Littles, suggest potential match activities, answer any questions that you may, and support you throughout the length of your match.
