Who We Are
In 1946, 87 culturally diverse residents established the Metropolitan Kalamazoo Branch to mirror the national mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
The men and women of the Metropolitan Kalamazoo Branch (MKB) continue to advocate for equality, civil rights, voter mobilization and monitor equal opportunities for all people in the greater Kalamazoo area.
What We Do
ACT-SO is designed to recruit, stimulate and encourage high academic and artistic excellence among high school students.
