JCI Kalamazoo is the local chapter of Junior Chamber International, affectionately known as the Jaycees. We seek ways to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change. Members are aged 21-40 and all programming is member driven.
JCI Kalamazoo wants to provide development opportunities for members to become better as individuals, professionals and citizens. We work together to make our community better through our membership driven programming and community partnerships. Projects are run by members that gain valuable experience in time management, critical thinking and event coordination.
We’re known for our efforts with Duffel Bags of Love which provides bags with toiletries, undergarments and a small toy to children displaced from their homes and entering foster care.
We’re also known around town for Ghosts of Kalamazoo Historic Tours, which are guided walking tours that focus on the quirky history and urban legends of our community.
