Needs From: Volunteer Center of Greater Battle Creek and Kalamazoo

The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services acts as support to first responders during disasters like tornadoes, fires and earthquakes as well as during important training exercises. When our first responders are working long, hot days to keep us safe, they know they can count on The Salvation Army to offer them food, water, and a calm place to take a break.

Volunteers will attend bimonthly training meetings and serve in an as-needed capacity on the Salvation Army canteen (mobile food truck).  

Volunteer will assist our Intake Specialist during The Salvation Army's open pantry time with getting food and personal hygiene products, etc. for clients. The Pantry is open to clients for assistance on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00-4:00PM both days.

The Food Pantry volunteer will stock, organize and bag groceries and other items for our clients.

Must be able to volunteer weekdays for about 2 hours. Time is flexible.

Training will be provided! Background check required.
