Horse Time is a fledgling non-profit in the Greater Kalamazoo Area that employs horses to create experiential education opportunities.
Our mission is is to collaborate with community healers, educators, and social workers, by offering a venue, horses, and horse professionals who facilitate safe, insightful, and therapeutic experiences with horses.
The Role
Horse Time CEC is seeking a dedicated, forward-thinking Volunteer Treasurer to join our Board of Directors. As a key financial leader, you will help ensure our organization's fiscal health and long-term sustainability.
Financial Oversight: Oversee financial management, ensuring compliance with tax and reporting regulations.
The presentation of our financial tracking and use of funds is critical to have at each meeting to meet the requirement of fiscal responsibility. After all income and expenditures are tracked, we need you to present it for approval at each meeting and help us see any trends and deficiencies before a calamity happens.
Responsibilities
Budget & Strategy: Collaborate with the board to create and monitor annual budgets and financial strategies.
Reporting: Present clear, timely monthly/quarterly financial statements to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
Experience in finance, accounting, or business management.
Strong attention to detail and ability to organize financial records.
Ability to translate financial data into clear reports for the board.
Passion for our mission and a desire to see the organization grow.
