Before the Portage canoe gets planted, it needs to have landscape fabric attached to the frame. Help CJ, our Gardener Educator, zip tie the fabric on the outside of the canoe.
The work takes place inside so you'll have to do a brief health screening before going into the area. To get to the building on S. Westnedge, turn at Shaver and then turn left at the fork where S. Westnedge splits. The road may be closed due to construction happening at the Portage District Library. Turn there anyway and you'll immediately pass by Library Lane and the Veterans Memorial Park/cemetery on your right, and then the small parking lot will be on your right. Enter the main doors and let them know you're there to volunteer to help with the canoe.
