Our Summer programs will work around Kalamazoo Public Schools Meet Up Eat Up program. KPS will have someone here at The Salvation Army Monday-Friday from 9:00-9:30AM, to hand out breakfast to the community. All the youth in the program will have the opportunity to have breakfast and then after breakfast, the youth will rotate between 2-3 classes in our Community Center that will be organized and set up. KPS will provide lunch at 12:00PM, and then youth will be picked up by 12:30-1:00pm.
The assistance might look something like helping chaperone a field trip, assisting kids with a craft project, playing some basketball, or some other small group game/project. The more support we have, the more youth will be able to take advantage of the Summer Program.
