Centrica Journeys offers year-round grief counseling for children, teens, and their families who are hurting from the loss of a loved one. Grieving children can express and process their thoughts and feelings, learn healthy coping skills, and interact with others close in age. This grief counseling program is free and supported by donations from the community.

Professional grief support counselors train the volunteers as they begin their service and are actively involved in each session providing encouragement and support every step of the way.

Centrica Journeys offers year-round grief counseling for children, teens, and their families who are hurting from the loss of a loved one. Grieving children can express and process their thoughts and feelings, learn healthy coping skills, and interact with others close in age. This grief counseling program is free and supported by donations from the community.

Professional grief support counselors train the volunteers as they begin their service and are actively involved in each session providing encouragement and support every step of the way.

Centrica Care Navigators is looking for Pet Therapy dogs, and their humans, to share their unique gifts as a member of the care team offering support and comfort during this end-of-life journey. Pet Therapy dogs offer a calming and loving distraction for clients and their families as well as reduces anxiety and loneliness. As a Pet Therapy Volunteer, you and your dog choose your assignments and may visit any of the Arbors, Adult Day Services, or client’s home/facility in which they reside in any of the counties in which Centrica Care Navigators covers.

We require all dogs to be certified in order to become a volunteer. If you have a calm and friendly dog that you believe would be a great pet therapy dog, staff are more than willing to help walk you through the process if you wish to get your dog certified. And if you know of any Therapy Dog Teams, we will work with you and the team to organize a date or create an event to provide services to our clients.
