Kalamazoo Sunrise Kiwanis

Mission: To empower communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children.

Kalamazoo Sunrise was established in 1993 as part of Kiwanis International which started in Detroit Michigan in 1915. We raise money to support several local organizations that share our mission. Our members participate in many service projects.

Kiwanis is a global community of clubs, member and partners dedicated to improve the lives of children one community at a time. The club raises money to help international challenges such as fighting disease and poverty, to local support of libraries, social agencies that help children or the local community and local school districts. Our Kiwanis club fulfills the Kiwanis mission by serving our community through various projects, including Adopt-a-Family at Christmas, 3rd Grade Dictionary Project, and Sponsor a local Little League, among other worthwhile community projects.
