Who We Are

By providing barrier-free access to diapers, baby wipes, and menstrual products for young people, Care Collective of Southwest Michigan supports multigenerational well-being. Care Collective was founded by a group of caregivers, community organizers, and nonprofit leaders who identified the need for diapers and period supplies to be available in spaces where people felt safe, welcome, and prioritized. We partner with community and grassroots organizations to ensure accessible spaces for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and immigrant families and young people.

What We Do

We distribute diapers and period supplies to young people from childhood to young adulthood to ensure they always have what they need. The products we distribute arrive at our warehouse in two ways: community members donate boxes of diapers, wipes, and period supplies. And we purchase products in bulk at a discount. Volunteers repackage all products into a week’s supply of diapers/wipes and monthly period kits, accounting for our recipients’ varying ages and product preferences. We then deliver these packages to our distribution partners, who give them to the folks they work with and ensure we reach BIPOC youth.
