Mission: To improve the quality of life in the Eastside neighborhood through community engagement, advocacy, and collaboration, focusing on safety, development, and the well-being of all residents.
Kalamazoo Eastside Neighborhood Association (KENA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents of the Eastside neighborhood in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The organization works to build a stronger, safer, and more connected community by fostering collaboration and engaging residents in local initiatives. KENA promotes neighborhood revitalization, community empowerment, and sustainable growth through advocacy and community-driven solutions.
What We Do
KENA offers a variety of services aimed at strengthening the Eastside neighborhood. These include community organizing and outreach efforts to bring residents together, as well as programs focused on neighborhood beautification, crime prevention, and environmental sustainability. The organization advocates for local improvements such as better infrastructure, safer streets, and increased access to community resources. KENA also partners with local organizations and agencies to provide educational and recreational opportunities, supporting the growth and development of individuals and families in the community.
