Who We Are

Mission: To maximize quality of life and sense of community in the Edison Neighborhood.

Established in 1968, The Edison Neighborhood Association is a non-profit 501(c)(3) that serves the most populous and diverse neighborhood in Kalamazoo. Much like the residents, the housing stock is varied and unique, with sections boasting Grand Boulevards and others with small Terraces and Courts. There is something for everyone. The neighborhood is home to nationally acclaimed Kalamazoo Farmers Market, four parks including the Mayor Riverfront Park, and our own mini downtown Washington Square. Not to mention, small theatres, makers spaces, the best tacos in town, and much more make Edison a great place to Live, Eat, and Play.

What We Do

The Edison Neighborhood Association organizes community events, safety initiatives, and neighborhood improvement projects. We work closely with local leaders and stakeholders to address residents’ concerns, advocate for resources, and strengthen connections. From hosting neighborhood gatherings to supporting educational and beautification efforts, we strive to make Edison a safe, connected, and vibrant place for all.
