Who We Are
Since 1982, Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes (KLF) has provided grocery assistance to Kalamazoo County residents struggling with food insecurity. Through multiple hunger-relief programs, KLF serves over 600 individuals each day. The Grocery Pantry Program is our most utilized program with a centralized Call Center, multiple pantry locations, county-wide home delivery service, school-based pantries, and pick-up options for social service professionals.
KLF also provides significant food assistance through our Mobile Food Initiative distributions each month. Other programs include the Weekend Food Pack Program which provides supplemental meals for school children, the Commodity Supplemental Food Program which supports low-income senior citizens, the Partner Agency Program which provides groceries to agencies who provide prepared meals or have an independent pantry, and the Targeted Outreach Initiative which supports specific populations who cannot access our other programs in traditional ways.
In total, KLF serves over 28,000 individuals from nearly 10,000 households each year with a focus on nutrition and dignity in all of its programming.
