South County Community Services

South County Community Services has many programs – emergency assistance, senior programs, the Metro Share van program and more.  We serve thirty-three percent of the residents of South County who live below the poverty line or are families with difficulty meeting basic needs such as food, utilities, transportation and healthcare expenses on a dependable basis. 

The thirty-seven percent of the population is over 55 years of age.  Many of these families live on fixed incomes.  Even families with reasonable incomes can face challenges having to do with aging, health and abrupt changes in circumstances outside their control.  

South County Community Services mission is dedicated to helping build a stronger community and to improving quality of life for residents through providing services locally.

The Metro Share van  program services those in the South County area with their transportation needs to medical, attorney or social security appointments.  Anyone disabled or a senior is eligible living in these areas.  I am looking for volunteer driver’s for the Metro Share Van program.
