Description

The 21st Annual Fretboard Festival will take place on March 20-21, 2026 at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum and Anna Whitten Hall in downtown Kalamazoo.

The Fretboard Festival is a celebration of Kalamazoo’s rich stringed-instrument legacy and musical heritage. This free community event invites visitors to meet instrument designers and builders, learn about their craft, attend workshops for a variety of stringed instruments, and enjoy live performances from area musicians.

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, March 21 throughout the day to help make the event welcoming and easy to navigate for visitors. Volunteer roles may include greeting guests, assisting with wayfinding, and helping track attendance.

Volunteers will receive the following: Fretboard Festival t-shirt, lunch, and a parking voucher for Arcadia ramp 4.

Volunteers will must clear a background check prior to volunteering.
