All our activities are done on the ground near or with the horses, so, no riding experience is necessary.
Volunteers need to notice the body language of the horse, notice their unique personalities and how they prefer to interact with each other and with people, and in knowing these propensities, be confident in stepping in to keep our guests safe and leaving with great learning experiences.
We prefer a background in natural horsemanship or a solid rating in US Pony Club. Having passed at least L1 in Parelli Natural Horsemanship speaks to the expertise we feel confident in. However, if you have past experience and a commitment to excellence, please inquire.
