Hello! The Kalamazoo Coalition for the Unhoused hosts an event at the Salvation Army known as the Community Resource Event. The event offers a monthly gathering that offers resources for food, showers, resource information and agency support for those agencies apart of the Coalition, haircuts and pet supplies. Reach out via email or facebook for volunteer sign up.
By signing up as a volunteer, you will be helping us pass out resources, check patrons in, serve food, clean up, sort donations, and have good conversation with shelter users! I. Please note, we COMPLETELY rely on folks that sign up to make the shelter run. If you sign up, we need you to show up or notify us if you cannot make it. Thank you for making such a difference!
